Elements of a great love story: a chance encounter on New Years Eve, Skiing in the French Alps on a first date, an evening of mulled wine and friends afterward, a fairytale ending where the handsome groom marries his princess. Such is the story of Robert Schlederer and Amelia Sandell, who celebrated their marriage on June 20, 2009 at The Lyman Estate in Waltham, a venue chosen for its historic New England feel and expansive grounds. A hint of modern elegance was visible in Amelie's strapless, Chantilly lace Monique Lhuillier gown and delicate birdcage veil, the trendy desert buffet chosen over traditional wedding cake, and the off-white and gold color scheme running throughout. Groomsmen donned cream Hugo Boss vests and ties while bridesmaids were striking in coffee and mauve satin dresses. Outdoor dining and dancing rounded out festivities as friends and family, including Robert's from Australia, helped write another memorable moment to add to Robert and Amelia's story.
