When Emily Weiss, 24, from Houston, TX, and Andy Salsky, 23, of Califon, NJ, first met through their church in Brighton, it took these Boston College students a little while to fully register on each other's radars. They spent time together casually with other friends and, as Emily admits, "We actually got on each other's nerves that year!" By the start of the next fall, however, Emily confesses to having developed a major crush on Andy. They became closer friends and eventually started dating. Later that year, Andy proposed to Emily two days before Christmas as the couple helped decorate his mother's tree.

Emily and Andy were wed on August 8, 2009 at Old North Church in Marblehead, MA- a spot with special meaning to Emily. "My parents got married at Old North Church on August 15, 1981," she says. "I always knew I wanted to get married there. It's gorgeous and has so much family history."

Later, the newlyweds headed to the Jeremiah Lee Mansion, also in Marblehead, where the pianist and saxophonist welcomed their 250 guests to the outdoor cocktail hour. To compliment the summery, New England feel the mansion's garden and yard, Emily and Andy chose a pink and navy color scheme with a butterfly motif. From the bride's pink and white bouquet to the 20 centerpieces and the stunning tiered cake, butterflies landed all throughout the decor.

Emily and Andy shared their first dace to "You Are So Beautiful" by Joe Crocker. Emily wore a Mori Lee gown in ivory Alencon lace with a sweetheart neckline and A-line skirt. Her veil was hand-appliqued by her mother using extra lace from the hem of the gown. Emily's bridesmaids wore navy blue chiffon dresses from Priscilla of Boston while the groomsmen wore a playful mix of navy blue sport coats, khaki pants, and light pink shirts with navy and pink striped ties.

For Emily and Andy, their wedding day held many special moments. Thinking back, Emily says, "My favorite memory was walking down the aisle with my dad to my handsome, wonderful groom." What a sweet way to remember such a big day.
