It took a bit of convincing for Megan McBride to believe Luke Anderson was proposing to her. The couple was geocaching in a preserve area when Luke diverted from the GPS reading. Megan found him, down on one knee, trying to propose while Megan tried to get him back on the trail. Luckily Luke persevered and the couple began planning their August 2009 wedding.
The couple's love for the beach and Luke's upbringing in the Dominican Republic fueled their nautical themed wedding. They held their ceremony and reception at the Jones River Trading Company in Kingston. "The reception area is unlike any other venue in the area," Megan says. "The open room and antique appeal felt comfortable and inviting. We didn't even look anywhere else." The couple hired Rachel Kate Photography to capture their special day in print.
