Amy Bailey and Allen Horhota were living in San Diego when he gave her the biggest surprise of her life. While traveling along the scenic Pacific Coast Highway to visit some family on a rainy day in California, the couple made a stop to enjoy the stunning views when the weather finally broke. While Amy was focusing on taking pictures of the cliffs and the ocean, Allen was kneeling down to propose! After Amy go over her initial shock and surprise, of course she said YES! and the planning began...
The couple was living on the West coast, but were both from the East coast. They decided on the date November 28, 2009 and took on the task of planning from across the country. Amy and Allen chose St. Bridget's Church in Abington, the Bride's hometown, for their ceremony. For the reception Amy says, "we were looking for something very New England." so they decided on The Red Lion Inn in Cohasset. With it's vaulted ceilings and elegant "barn" feel it is the quintessential New England wedding venue.
