For a couple who got engaged on April Fool's Day - fake out proposal included - what could be better than a pre-wedding photo shoot of a ride on a whimsical carousel. The fabulously fun and effortlessly elegant wedding of Samantha Shih and Austin Wei at the Boston Harbor Hotel was a vision in grey, yellow, and pink. The bride stood out in her chic chiffon Reem Acra gown, and later changed into a beautiful custom qipao.
As for the men, they cut a perfect figure in custom suits and shirts from none other than Samantha's own company, 9tailors! As a designer with an impeccable eye for quality and style, she chose the harbor setting as a backdrop for tables and white birch and colored branches running down the center by Hiroko from Hanaya Floral Design in Cambridge.
"I wanted everything to be fluffy, textured, and organic," says Samantha. The incredible bouquets of peonies in pink and white certainly qualify, as do the men's custom white-checked shirts with grey gingham accents and groom's wedding date monogram on the edge of his shirt.
