What makes a good real wedding feature?
Please review our guidelines above. Professional photographs are required, include all vendors participating on the event with direct links to their company website and as much detail about the event as possible.
When will I find out if my wedding has been selected?
Our editorial department will inform you by email within 48 hours along with your editorial run date. You may check the status of your real wedding or editorial write up by emailing: Brittany@beantownbride.com We do our best to inform you, but there are some circumstances that we cannot, just know your feature will go live within
Can I proof my feature before it goes live?
We do not modify posts that have already gone live, and they live indefinably on the site. Due to the high traffic of new content, posts can not be proofed before being published.
Is it my responsibility to inform a client when a real wedding is live?
You should always ask your clients permission before submitting a wedding. Our editorial team does not inform a bride or groom when a post is live. It is your responsibility to inform your customer. We also encourage you to have them Facebook their feature to show their friends and family!
Is Beantown Bride exclusive or non-exclusive?
Beantown Bride is a non-exclusive media outlet. We encourage you to submit your work to multiple wedding publications and blogs, this helps you gain even more exposure. If your real wedding appears on another blog, please inform the blog to link back to BeantownBride.com for credit, this helps every blog who has published your feature generate more exposure for link backs, this will also elevate your business in the online media world.
Do I have to be an advertiser to submit a real wedding?
You do not have to be an advertiser to submit a Real Wedding feature. There is no limit to how many real weddings you can submit to our site. However, professional write ups about services/products/advertiser shout outs are dedicated to advertisers only. If you are interested in becoming an advertiser email sales@beantownbride.com or email our Editor Brittany Blando and she will connect you with our sales team.
I'm a vendor and my business is not credited, can you please correct?
We believe a wedding is a collaborative project that requires the credit of all wedding professionals who participated on the event. Our editorial team does it's best to provide proper photo credit and vendor credit, but if vendor information is not provided for up-front during the submission process, we have not way of including a vendor after the published date. We abide by photographic copyright laws. Once a feature is published on Beantown Bride, it lives indefinitely on our website.
Why don't you accept stage shoots ie. trash the dress or stage shoots by photographers or event planners?
Staged shoots do not fit our editorial readership. Our marketing statistics show that our followers do not react to staged wedding shoots. The Beantown Bride team strongly believes that staged shoots are a misrepresentation of a wedding day and quickly become dated in the wedding world. There are many wedding blogs on the web that focus on stage shoots, we believe a wedding is just that-- REAL. Our editorials reflect and guide local brides to plan their wedding with an attainable style.
I noticed Beantown Bride has featured just one of my photos along with an article, can I opt out?
When you submit a wedding to Beantown Bride and it is accepted, your photographs are archived in our submission system and your business is automatically opted in for article photo usage. Our editorial team always provides legal photo copyright credit with a direct link to the company website. Please note, we do not inform photographers when an article runs with their photograph, you can be assured we take pride in crediting your business to the fullest.
