Today's gorgeous bride and groom met on vacation in Myrtle Beach and seemed to hit it off right away. "He was very polite and had manners... shocking," our bride tells us. "And when we took a walk one night, we shared his ipod and listened to Andrea Bocelli... I knew he was different!" And the unique romance didn't end there!

Some years later, the couple got engaged. And what a enchanting engagement it was! The couple vacationed in Disney that week with Lauren's 6 year old daughter. Our charming groom, Heath, arranged to have Lauren's daughter meet Cinderella. After that encounter, a dream-like moment any little girl will forever remember, Heath created another unforgettable evening by proposing to his now-wife, atop Cinderella's castle during a romantic dinner. Our beautiful bride said yes, and other diners applauded in excitement and minutes later, fireworks exploded in the sky!

Our Real Wedding couple married less than a year later in a small ceremony in Virginia surrounded by friends and family. And when it came to their wedding photos, Lauren and Heath kept it simple, sweet, and special. Unlike, traditional bridal portraits done before the wedding of only the bride, this East Coast couple decided to have an "After the Date" photo shoot where the two enjoyed some alone time as husband and wife. Tyra Bleek Photography got some great timeless shots of our newlyweds that will always be treasured, just like the memories of their starry-eyed engagement and tender nuptials!

Boston is full of green trees, beautiful sunshine, and warm breeze now, which means that spring in the city is in full effect! And though we struggled last year through a very gray and wet wedding high-seasons (this August bride, for one, was worried), it seems that looking ahead we have a lovely summer in store for us. But, goodness knows, New England weather can be finicky no matter what the season. Even when we're well out of early springs "April showers bring May flowers" territory, there's a chance that all of this heat may quickly lead to thunderstorms. And even if the sun is shinning this week, there's no knowing what the next may bring. So what does that mean for the bride planning either a spring or summer wedding outdoors? When you and your guests will be exposed to the elements rain is a necessary factor to consider and plan for. The upside to all of this is that there are plently of adorable acessories to choose from to help outfit yourself again unexpected showers. And so this inspiration board takes the unexpected to heart and makes rainy day moitifs a central theme. In shades of spring green with some spicy reds and yellows that look forward to the hot months ahead, it's a fun look that has a sense of humor about the prospect of rain on one's wedding day. And since it is considered a good omen and makes for an adorable style, who knows, you may just find yourself praying for showers! (...Or Not. But keep in mind that the parasols can provide sun protectiion in the warmer months even it's not raining, so it's a look that does double duty to keep you protected.)

Love the parasols. I think they would make a great decor accent in weddings especially in spring and summer weddings.

Hi! Came across your blog while looking through my Google Alerts this morning (we took the image of Julie and her bridesmaids with the parasols) Thanks for including that image! If you'd like to see the whole blog post about their wedding you can view it here if you'd like. http://jenstewartphotography.net/joe-julie-vintage-fab-wedding/

Also, I just saw your post above about tips on how to manage your bridal party. Would you mind if I post a link to that on my twitter and facebook accounts? It's great info for brides! :)
