Since Karin grew up in Cambridge, and attended Harvard for grad school, keeping things local was a no brainer. "We loved the Cambridge Boat Club location on the Charles River," Karin says. "We wanted a venue that was a little different from a usual hotel location."
The couple used Hallie's Garden in Cambridge for the flowers for the ceremony celebration. For the full-blown reception the couple used white lights and votive candles for decorations. Bart arranged for four different bands to play at their reception, including his college band and the local band he currently plays with. The variety of live music was a hit and the guests danced the night away.
"We're so happy we planned the wedding this way," Karin says. "Everyone says that your wedding is a blur, and ours wasn't. We both felt like we had time to enjoy the different events with our guests."
